Renata Weatherspoon is the CEO and Founder of Advanced Practice Consulting, LLC (APC). She has been in healthcare since 2004. Her career started as a Registered Nurse in the ER. During Renata’s ER tour of duty, she decided that she wanted to venture out into the specialty area of Mental Health. She loved it so much, she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing and  became a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner in 2013. She has had many achievements during  her career. Some achievements include opening 2 private practices, written publications for BlackDoctor.org and Black Men with Beards, coauthor of “Black Girls Guide to Nursing School." Renata has also served as Forensic Nurse Expert Witness for a few high-profile legal cases, owner of a Healthcare Staffing Agency, Government Contractor, Realtor, and Medical Director. She has helped many colleagues turn their passion into profit over the years by being an available resource. Renata decided to do the same for herself. She turned her passion of helping people into a business and gave birth to Advanced Practice Consulting, LLC (APC).
